Holding the 6th Eurasian Working Group Meeting on Cybercrime for Heads of Units

NAJA group- the Head of International and Legal Affairs of Cyber Police of Islamic Republic of Iran announced for holding the 6th Eurasian Working Group Meeting on Cybercrime for Heads of Units, that will be hosted by the Cyber Police of Islamic Republic of Iran on 8 – 10 may 2018 in Tehran.


Colonel Hosein Ramezani in a special interview with the reporter of police news station declared that: “Today, according to the growth and development of cyber space and consequently the complexity of this type of crime, providing security of cyber space is the main challenge of all countries around the world and also related international organizations like INTERPOL.”


Thus IGCI that is supporting the cybercrime units around the world from police aspect, holds Eurasian Working Group Meeting on Cybercrime for Heads of Units hosted by one of the member countries of Asia and Europe annually and cyber police of Islamic Republic of Iran is hosting the 6th event according to its effective and standard activities and by having necessary capacities, he continued.


This law enforcement authority pointed to the objectives of holding this event and said: “exchanging and sharing the best and the most important crime investigation methods, sharing digital forensic procedures and its tools, capacity building for member countries in digital forensic and cybercrime investigation techniques, expanding and strengthening of bilateral, multilateral and international cooperation and also development and also expanding and strengthening cooperation between police and private sectors  are the most important objectives of this event.”


Heads of police and cybercrime combating units will participate in this event and it is dare to say that this meeting is one of the most important cyber police meetings in the level of decision making, he expressed.


At last Colonel Hosein Ramezani said: cyber police of Islamic Republic of Iran is always seeking for proper and reliable capacity building in the area of bilateral, multilateral, regional and international cooperation for immediate and proper response to cybercrime regarding to international aspects of cybercrime.
